- I'm a 40 year old mother to a 14 year old girl. I married for the first time in October '05 to an Englishman I met online through work and fell in love with through email. I never underestimate the power of the written word. I'm a cynical woman with an idealistic heart.

Blame it on the Rain
Currently mildly obsessed with the beauty to be found
through my car windshield on a rainy day (wipers off, car parked of course)...I
think these lend themselves to Haiga quite well (haiku + image = haiga)...
Dreams of gold often
occur in the coldest dark
Fall comes bitterly.
We crowd together
like sardines with mouths open
Perpetual angst.
This is my city
Pavement splatters with people
When it’s not raining.
